Job Description

Compass Life Sciences are partnered with a Global Medical Communications Agency who are committed to communicating the science and value of medicines. We are supporting their search to appoint a new Senior Editor to join their internal team on a full-time permanent basis. The role will focus on reviewing, copyediting and proofreading a wide range of scientific documents and materials for use in medical communications projects, with a focus on accuracy and clarity.

In this role, you'll have the chance to join a broad team that prizes collaboration and fosters a supportive, welcoming work environment. As a Senior Editor, you will be expected to review and refine various types of documents, including manuscripts, reports, presentations, and digital content for grammatical, spelling, and punctuation errors. You will be expected to suggest changes to improve clarity and flow, as well as proofread content to ensure adherence to the appropriate style and tone.

This position offers a hybrid work model, requiring two days per week in either our London, Chester, or Manchester office, with the remainder of the week allowing for a remote working model.

Requirements:
Previous experience working as a copyeditor/proof-reader essential within medical publishing/ communication company or Pharmaceutical Company.

Demonstrated expertise in grammar, spelling, and punctuation, coupled with the ability to enhance and streamline written content for clarity and coherence.

Exceptional attention to detail, capable of identifying and rectifying errors, inconsistencies, and discrepancies to ensure content alignment with established style and tone.

Competence in verifying the accuracy of facts and figures to ensure content is scientifically accurate and up to date.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with proven experience in effective team interactions.

Proficient use of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Minimum degree requirement: Bachelor's degree in a relevant Life Sciences area.
