We have ambitious plans to shape how we work with families, placing practitioners and relationship-based practice at the heart of what we do. Through Vital Signs, our vision for Children in Norfolk, we work with whole family networks and across the whole system to support families to build on their strengths and to achieve the best possible outcomes.

As part of our ambitious plans, we are working c losely with North Yorkshire County Council to adopt and adapt their pioneering No Wrong Door – Strengthening Families Protecting Children (SFPC) programme to support young people who are within or on the edge of the care system. Bringing together a team of specialists through a central hub, our new model will work with young people experiencing complex journeys and combines short term residential care placements and edge of care support through a range of specialist and wrap-around services.

We are looking for a Life Coach to join our team to build a trusting relationship with young people through intensive support to enable assessments, formulations (psychological understanding based on theory/research) and interventions. You will provide highly specialist psychological assessment of clients with highly complex conditions based on the appropriate use, interpretation and integration of data from a variety of sources.

With responsibility for recognising the potential for or signs of client harm, abuse or neglect, including poor clinical practice you will report all such concerns and take all reasonable steps to protect the client. You will f ormulate plans for highly specialist psychological therapy and/or management of clients’ mental health conditions based upon an appropriate conceptual framework and evidence-based practice.

With a postgraduate Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (or equivalent), you will have HCPC registration. You will have experience working in CAMHS or in Adult Services with clear evidence of transferrable skills . With e xperience of specialist assessments, you will have devised treatments for children or adults with behaviours that challenge .
