The Base Kirklees is an innovative and forward-thinking service, with a proven track record of effectively engaging young people and young adults.
Our ethos is centred around the principles of harm reduction, we provide non-judgmental, fact-based, information and advice surrounding drug and alcohol use and the associated risks. We aim to give young people and young adults the knowledge and skills to make more informed choices, to keep themselves and their peers aware, safe, and well when it comes to drugs/alcohol.
Following an expansion of the team, The Base Kirklees are excited to advertise the role of Young Adult's Resilience Worker.
The postholder’s focus will be to work proactively with young adults to help address their substance misuse needs and alongside this, they will help forge strong working relationships and pathways with local adult support services including social care, drug and alcohol treatment, mental health and criminal justice, to help coordinate a joined-up approach to substance use and other identified needs.
The successful applicant with therefore possess excellent engagement skills and possess the ability to work in partnership with other services and share their knowledge through the delivery of training around substance misuse to other professionals.
We are looking for a creative and dynamic individual who enjoys working within a busy team. The ability to work to a high degree of accuracy and meet deadlines amongst competing priorities is vital in this position.
