Your day to day

Driving business performance by using data, reporting & analytics continues to be a key part of our strategy. This is a great opportunity to join our Analytics team and influence a fast-growing business area. The Senior Analytics Manager is responsible for the delivery and management of analytic projects across both the EMEAA region and the wider company. The role will closely collaborate with various stakeholders to problem solve and find effective solutions to data/analytical challenges. Key accountabilities include:

  • Lead and deliver a wide variety of analytics projects across IHG, primarily supporting HR & Workforce optimisation teams.
  • Lead on hypothesis generation, experimental design, data storytelling and content curation for various audiences.
  • Assess and deliver data storage & processing techniques, statistical modelling, and data visualisation.
  • Assess and manage projects to ensure they are truly beneficial to the business and follow best practices.
  • Proactively develop the PIA analytics strategy to ensure it is fit for purpose.
  • Create a culture of excellence for analytics combined with innovation, ensuring outputs insightful and actionable.
  • Key metrics will include IHG strategic metrics such as System Size, Guest Love, GSI & RGI as well as Operational, HR and Commercial metrics.

What we need from you

Education

  • Degree/Masters in a relevant subject, e.g., Economics, Maths, Hospitality, Data Science

Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in analytics, preferably in a global/matrix organization.
  • Proven track record and ability to story tell and transform data/analytics into actionable insights.
  • Ability to use data as a mechanism to drive business change.
  • Able to manage multiple and complex tasks at the same time.

Technical skills and knowledge

  • Tableau, Alteryx, Excel & SQL
  • Good knowledge and experience of hospitality/travel industry
  • Problem structuring and solving
  • Project Management skills
