We're looking for a Web Engineer to help us grow our marketing website, and public web applications.
As a part of our MarTech team, you'll be working alongside web, data & backend engineers as well as product managers and designers to build features and marketing campaigns that help inform and engage customers.
You'll be part of a team that's helping to define how we make the most of marketing at Monzo. This could involve building new web applications, using new libraries or setting the standard for how we showcase our products on the web. You'll also work collaboratively with web engineers across the company to set standards and best practices.
Our web platform is written across multiple applications, using tools like Jekyll and Gatsby, and you'll help us modernise the platform and have the opportunity to improve web standards and guidance across Monzo.
Every day you'll be:
You'll work on project-based sprints in small, cross-disciplinary teams
We have just over 200 engineers out of roughly 2100+ people in total – and we have big ambitions. As an engineer here you'd be able to work directly with anyone across the company, and we run regular knowledge-sharing sessions so you'll learn loads – from how banks work, to effective communication.
Our software engineers have a variety of different backgrounds
We have plenty of non-graduates: only some of us studied Computer Science; some of us have worked in huge companies; some have only ever worked in startups and others are former consultants. As long as you enjoy learning new things, we'd love to talk to you.

Compensation
Our salary range for the role is £78,000 - £105,000 depending on experience, plus stock options and other benefits.
Logistics
This role can be based in our London office by Liverpool Street, but we're open to distributed/remote working. We can help you relocate to London and we offer visa sponsorship.
We offer flexible working hours and trust you to work enough hours to do your job well, at times that suit you and your team.
