Warehouse Manager - Drinks Manufacturing - Refresco UK, Bridgwater, Somerset (just off J23 of the M5)

Refresco Bridgwater is one of the largest and most progressive drink's manufacturing sites globally - 158,000 square metres, 4 factories, a large warehouse and transport facility under one roof, the latest, leading edge engineering technology producing 800 million litres per annum of soft drinks for our many own label and contract manufacturing customers from 28 production lines. In addition we have high value ongoing CAPEX investment projects for implementation at the site throughout 2023.

We now seek an agile, entrepreneurial and passionate, Warehouse Manager to lead a team of Team Leaders and Support Staff to deliver against all targets and objectives in relation to all Inbound and Outbound activity for our 2 warehouses at Refresco Bridgwater.

About the Role

As Warehouse Manager you will report to the Operations Manager, and are responsible for managing directly and indirectly, a large team of people at Refresco Bridgwater, so your powers of leadership, clear communication and motivation are critical to being successful in this role.

You will have a good idea of the main duties and tasks involved as you will have worked previously in a similar role, but to be clear here are some of the main responsibilities:

• Lead your team to deliver against all short, medium, long term operational targets and objectives relating to inbound materials and storage and the loading and despatch of packaging and finished goods.
• Manage budget / costs associated with all Warehouse activity at the site.
• Manage your team, ensuring all are trained and competent to deliver against the agreed warehouse SOP's.
• Use warehouse KPI's to drive improvement activities and plans.
• Maintain all data necessary for logistics and inventory control and manage stock accuracy.
• Manage Warehouse quality processes and identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Liaise closely with 3PL providers of warehousing and transport services and with central Logistics function at Head Office.
• With your team - keep quality, health & safety and continuous improvement at the top of the daily agenda and measure these against the set KPI's.
• Develop your team from good to great, making the warehouse environment a 'great place to work'!
  

About You

You will ideally have previous experience in a similar role, managing, leading and motivating a team within FMCG manufacturing. Exposure to a unionised working environmment is also an advantage. You will have an in-depth knowledge of warehousing operations in a large scale facility and a proven record of meeting targets and improving team performance. You will always have health and safety at the forefront of everything you do, with up to date practical knowledge applied in a manufacturing environment.

You are a confident, clear, communicator. It is important that you don't work in 'silo' and keep the bigger picture in mind on how your team efficiency and performance impacts the wider Refresco Bridgwater performance, and also the central Refresco Logistics function.
