Our client is a truly market leading brand with multiple sites in the UK are looking for a Supplier Risk Manager – Finance to cover the Finance element of their Vendor Risk function at their site based in Gaydon, Warwickshire (you will like the products that they engineer!) – an exciting place to work offering the flexibility of a hybrid working scenario (probably 3/2 days per week office/home) and a half day on a Friday!
This role could also be viewed as a Senior Finance Business Partner due to certain aspects of the responsibilities but candidates need to have strong experience of dealing with suppliers, corporate rescue, insolvency, vendor risk and distressed suppliers

Role Purpose:
As the Vendor Risk Manager – Finance for the Business Office within Procurement, you will be responsible for designing and implementing a programme to help the company identify, assess and manage risks within its vendor base, with an initial focus on financial and sustainability/ESG topics.
One element of this role will be to identify and support activities relating to vendors in distress.
The role will involve liaising with the Senior Procurement Managers and Finance team to ensure accurate information is supplied, defining and developing the controls, measures, and reports to ensure the organisation delivers our operational and strategic short, medium, and long-term objectives.
Accountable for ensuring that accurate financial information and insights are used in decision-making and performance is accurately measured and sound judgements are made to support business needs.
