Job Description
The main purpose of the role is:
- To service various clients who distribute general/miscellaneous non-life insurance business.
- Account Management responsibilities include:-
- Producing and analyzing underwriting reports.
- Dealing with policy administration and claims handling decisions – supporting TPA’s with process improvement.
- Draft policy wording and IPID’s – manage version control of the documents.
- Manage client agreements, ensure partners follow due process and operate under specific underwriting guidelines.
- Attend client meetings, support clients and underwriters with pricing requests.
- Familiarize yourself with the regulatory framework for which Fortegra Europe operate in.
- Support the claims function with client reviews and TPA audits.
The scope mainly covers opportunities in the UK and Europe, for the following product categories:
- Automotive extended warranty contracts, GAP insurance, Cosmetic Protection Products, Key Insurance, Misfuelling, Roadside Assistance, .
- Motor Excess – varying routes to market.
- Domestic Appliance extended warranty.
- Furniture Insurance – AD, structure, stains.
- Mobile/cell phone insurance – AD, theft, loss, screen protection
This is a role within the Fortegra Underwriting team reporting to the Underwriting Account Director.
- Support the development of a profitable and sustainable book of GI business.
- Support the local Sales and Marketing teams to develop a healthy pipeline of new business opportunities.
- Support underwriters when pricing deals, including drafting risk assessments and pricing assumptions.
- Assist in relationship management with clients during the underwriting, negotiation and deal implementation stages.
- Support the re-negotiation of renewal terms where appropriate, ensuring performance, key metrics and target loss ratios run to plan.
- Establish, manage, and implement appropriate underwriting guidelines within the business.
- Ensure claims management process is in line with pricing assumptions and partners are administering business appropriately and in line with policy terms and conditions.
- Assist in the drafting of policy wordings, IPID’s, marketing material and client presentations.
- In conjunction with Compliance personnel, ensure products are designed and priced within the general regulatory framework for each territory.
- Liaise with actuarial, finance, legal, claims, operations and compliance in structuring deals.
- Production of monthly/quarterly underwriting, sales and claims reports.
- Support underwriters and help steer client review meetings.
- Assist in the production of distributor Product Oversight and Governance (POG) papers where required.
- Build high levels of credibility and positive brand recognition for Fortegra.
- Occasional travel required to support the development of the role, liaise closely with colleagues and develop existing operations and partnerships, where appropriate.
- Embrace new technology, implementation of systems and processes and support file sharing and document storage.
- Adhere to regulatory approval processes, ensure FEIC remains compliant at all times and complete CPD training as appropriate (where relevant).
