Job Description

Are you the Liam Neeson of the Training world, with a particular set of skills and knowledge in CITB Temporary Works?

If so, I am trying to find you and I’m looking to hire you!

We’re working with one of the UK’s leading training providers for Construction, Health and Safety, Business and Project Management, who are looking for a CITB Temporary Works Tutor to join their growing team, where you’ll help workers and businesses to gain the qualifications they need to develop their careers and reach their potential.

You’ll be registered with the Engineering Council at IEng or CEng level and hold relevant practical and design experience of temporary works, like formwork, falsework, access and protection.

You’ve already done the hard work and studying yourself, being an approved CITB Site Safety Plus tutor, and have a great understanding of the duties of temporary works coordinators and supervisors – which are the main areas that you will specialise in delivering in this role.

There is a mixture between delivering sessions online and in-person, with the majority of these sessions being delivered via online learning platforms from the comfort of your own home.

For this one, you’ll need to be a member of one of the following:

  • The Institution of Civil Engineers (AMICE/MICE/FICE) or
  • The Institution of Structural Engineers (MIStructE/FIStructE) or
  • The Institution of Royal Engineers (InstRE)

And if you have any of the below to boot, then it’d be really advantageous to any application too:

  • NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Safety and Health
  • Level 4/5 or 6 NVQ Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Practice (or SVQ equivalent) Health and Safety degree
  • NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health Units A, B, C and D.
  • Level 6 Diploma in Safety Management (or equivalent).

For this, you’ll get a salary of up to £45,000, and bring with you a positive, energetic and creative approach to training and developing others.

We appreciate this is a tiny snapshot of what you would do, so if you are interested and want to know more, call me, send me a message (Dan Beecher on LinkedIn), DM, or whatever is easiest. We encourage anyone who feels they are suitable, to apply, we love seeing diversity in our applicants. We use specialist technology to ensure there are no gender biases in our adverts.

Every applicant will receive a response. We sometimes make mistakes and miss things from CVs, so you will be given an opportunity to receive feedback and discuss the role in more detail if you feel necessary.
