Clinical Research is the scientific study of health and the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of illness. Not only is it important for scientific advancement but it has been proven that involvement in clinical research improves patient outcomes.
In Newcastle and our wider community, we have all the necessary ingredients to develop and deliver excellent clinical research. In an average year we recruit in excess of 10,000 research participants into a broad range of research studies and trials. These are supported by over 350 members of staff who are specifically employed to facilitate their successful set up and delivery.
The Study Support Assistant is an integral member of the Stroke Clinical Research Delivery Team, based at the Royal Victoria Infirmary. The post holder will work closely with the multi-disciplinary team to support the administration and data management within the Stroke Research Team.
