Buying / Supply Chain Administrator
Salary: Dependent upon experience
Our client is a leading supplier of home textiles to the retail sector in the UK, who now have an excellent opportunity for a Buying / Supply Chain Administrator to join their growing Head Office team.
Purpose of the role:
To undertake a wide range of operations and tasks to support the sourcing, development and purchasing of household textiles from Asia. This will involve liaising with suppliers in Pakistan, China, India and Bangladesh to build and maintain relationships and to ensure the smooth running of the department, purchasing and supply chain process.
Core duties and responsibilities:
· Track and record price negotiations with suppliers and update / maintain an excel based cost price database.
· Produce and present statistical analysis reports based on current and historical pricing trends.
· Attend and contribute to weekly pre-production meetings with relevant data from supply base.
· Monitor and populate critical path databases. Attend and contribute to weekly critical path review meetings.
· Collate and distribute supply chain information to the business, such as outstanding order reports, weekly shipment lists, invoice and packing details, relevant market place data.
· Liaise with external suppliers and internal Imports Dept on container consolidations, movement and tracking of containers, shipments, payment terms and letters of credit.
· Update and maintain a supplier claims tracker spreadsheet.
Key Skills and experience:
· Excellent attention to detail
· Ability to work autonomously and under pressure in order to prioritise own workload
· Work in conjunction with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders
· Articulate with excellent command of both oral and written English and a great communicator
· Microsoft office skills are needed for this role
· Ability to work effectively under pressure
