Lunchtime Supervisor / School Midday Assistant with a calm, friendly and enthusiastic approach is required to join a dedicated team within a well-established Academy Trust based in Hedge End, Southampton, Hampshire.

SALARY: £20,258 per annum FTE / Actual Annual Salary £4,683 per annum

LOCATION: Hedge End, Southampton, Hampshire

JOB TYPE: Part-Time, Permanent (Term Time Only)

WORKING HOURS: 10 Hours per Week, 11.15am to 1.15pm Monday to Friday. Term Time only (39 weeks)

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Lunchtime Supervisor / School Midday Assistant with a calm, friendly and enthusiastic approach.

Working as the Lunchtime Supervisor / School Midday Assistant you will be working within a supportive, fun team and will be an important member of the school structure.

As the Lunchtime Supervisor / School Midday Assistant you will need to be flexible and ideally have experience of working with children, ensuring confidentiality and safeguarding.

DUTIES

Your duties as the Lunchtime Supervisor / School Midday Assistant will include:

Supervising children in the lunch hall, outside on the playground or in their classrooms during wet lunch breaks

Encouraging positive play by leading a range of playground games

Ensuring the safety, welfare and good conduct of children

Promoting healthy eating

Ensuring any issues are dealt with in a positive and thoughtful manner and that where appropriate deciding which issues should be raised with relevant staff

Assisting with associated duties, e.g. cleaning up spillages, ensuring tables are clean, etc.
