SQL Data Tester - London/Hybrid - J12535
Salary Up to £50,000 DoE

An exciting opportunity to work at the heart of the music business, you will be a key resource working in the Analytics & BI Engineering Team to provide testing capability for analytics assets across Azure, SQL Server and Oracle.
The Data Tester will work closely with developers, business system analysts and the wider Data Team to define, deliver and execute testing strategies to support the business's ambitious growth plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver the testing component of code releases including System, Regression, Integration and User Acceptance testing
- Produce Repeatable test scenarios and test cases (detailed SQL scripts) to test each code component, demonstrating the business conditions under test and the expected results
- Provide supporting evidence of testing by creating data extracts and reports using SQL queries
- Responsible for the preparation of test environments and test data
- Responsible for highlighting and reporting defects
- Identifying business requirements and processes and how they map to the underlying data
Key Skills
- Degree level education or related discipline
- 6+ years of relevant testing within a Microsoft and Oracle environment
- Thorough knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle and Testing Methodologies
- Must be proficient with Excel including Power Query
- Experience of SQL Server Management Studio, T-SQL within SQL Server and Azure environments is essential
- Detailed knowledge of manual testing, automated test experience is desirable
- Must have configuration management experience and understanding of the principles. Backed up with experience of tools such as Azure Devops/ Jira
