We are currently seeking an engaging, inspiring and dynamic Sous Chef to join our Staffearn team.

The on target earning potential for this role is £31,189 annual salary - comprising a base salary of £28,189, plus a qualified estimate of £3,000 in gratuities and service charge.* As a member of the Gleneagles team, you will also enjoy a fantastic range of perks, benefits and rewards.

Here's a bit more detail on what we see you doing in this role:
As key, senior member of our Staff restaurant, you’ll make sure the operation and service for our people runs without hitch; orders and deliveries are coming and going as needed, our service is smooth and our food hygiene standards are sky-high
Supporting in constantly developing Culinary trends and ensuring we consistently exceed the expectations of our colleagues who visit and use the Staffearn Restaurant
You’ll continually benchmark with High street offerings, seeing what’s new and popular and bringing variety, choice and excitement to keep our people well fed
Developing a calendar of Culinary events using seasonal products to showcase innovation and fresh new offers including themed pop ups; you’ll canvass views and seek to fulfil the most popular requests, determined to surprise and delight our people
Working with the Head Chef, you’ll implement an ongoing procedure and process, within the Staffearn kitchen, which will develop the menu calendar, planning for all balanced menu changes, taking inspiration from around the world
Working closely with your Culinary and the Front of House teams, you’ll build strong relationships and ensure great communication at all times
You’ll nurture and develop the talent of the kitchen team, creating an environment that brings out the best in them and where they can be themselves
Interacting with our guests, always warm, professional, helpful and doing everything you can to exceed their expectations; playing your part in making their stay with us 5 star in every way

The kind of person we're looking for:
Ideally, you’ve built your experience within the corporate dining sector or in good quality restaurants with tasty home cooked food
Highly motivated and possessing an immense sense of pride in your work; you're passionate about delivering the high standards for our guests in line with the Gleneagles brand
You have a positive “can do” attitude to solving problems in a professional and courteous manner
A strong team player with great communication skills and an enthusiastic approach; you're well organised and punctual with an eagle eye for detail
You want to be part of a team that works hard, supports each other and above all has fun along the way

Gratuities (tips) and service charge (an additional charge added to our room rates and services across the estate that is passed directly to our employees) are paid on a pro-rata basis regardless of your role.
It is estimated that in 2023, our full-time employees can expect to receive around £3,000 in addition to their annual salary
