The Marquis is a luxury hotel in a beautiful part of the Suffolk countryside looking for an ambitious and knowledgeable Sous Chef Chef to join our team. This isn't just a job, it's a passion.
Our beautiful restaurant has consistently been awarded 2 Rosettes by the AA, with the hotel itself receiving 4 Silver Stars. We'll be aiming for more in the future and are currently expanding the business with the addition of a Spa, Wedding Venue, Afternoon Tea Room and 5 more Suites, so there will be room for the right person to grow within The Marquis family.
Reporting to the Head Chef, this is a unique opportunity to get involved at the beginning and play a leading role in the creation of something special. Helping to develop and deliver a full wedding and events menu as well as a la carte. Our F&B operation is still evolving and there will be every chance for you to make your mark with your own personality and ideas.
You will need to be the kind of person who has a natural inclination towards excellence in every detail and be able to motivate others to achieve it. Leading by example, you will take great pride in what you and your team do.
