What will you do as a Pension Administration Apprentice?
Here are just a few of the day-to-day tasks you can be involved in:
- The role of the software engineering team is to support on the development of new features and maintenance of existing functionality
- You will be involved in all aspects of the software development life cycle using the excellent tools and techniques to deliver complex software of the highest quality
- Plus, lots more including project work
Working with our training provider, Multiverse, you will study for the Software Enginerring Level 4 qualification. The programme is well structured with the support of a skills coach, friendly mentors, and line managers to ensure you succeed in your role and study.
There are lots of opportunities to develop into beyond your apprenticeship – these can include progressing through the business area you completed your apprenticeship in, or transferring to a different business area. You will be encouraged to continue to study and develop your skills if you wish to do so.
You will need to be customer-focused with good attention to detail. You will demonstrate a positive attitude with a pro-active and organised approach and with good problem-solving skills. We are looking for strong communicators with the ability to build effective working relationships with external clients as well as your team members and you will be keen to develop new skills. You could already have some of these skills through a part time job, work experience/volunteering or any hobbies/interests you have.
You'll be studying towards at least one A-Level (or equivalent) or have at least one year's work experience by September 2023 - these can include predicted grades.
If you haven't already achieved GCSEs Grades 4 - 9 (or equivalent) in Maths and English, we'll support you to complete your Functional Skills in these areas to bring you up to this level.
