Service Manager


Eden Brown Synergy is currently working in partnership with an NHS Organisation in Kent which is looking to recruit a Service Manager within Unplanned and Integrated Care (Cardiology & Rheumatology) on an interim basis. The post holder will work to develop and deliver high quality, responsive and cost-effective services in line with the requirements of Key stakeholders, the Trust strategic direction, and the Directorates Annual Service Plan.

Your role:

  • To support the Directorate senior management team in the planning, development, provision and review of the Directorate services
  • To ensure the delivery of excellent, patient focused and cost-effective services in line with the Trust's Strategic Direction and Service Plans and responsive to the needs of patient's carers, General Practitioners and the PCT's
  • As a member of the Directorate's management team, ensure that the Directorate meets and maintains the Operating Framework
  • To assist the General Manager in the performance of monitoring of activity on a daily basis, to support the achievement of the Trust's targets, and monitor and implement subsequent actions required
  • To be responsible for ensuring that services are continuously reviewed to support the directorate senior management team in the delivery of services in line with national and local guidance
  • To ensure that the Directorate provides high quality services, responsive to the needs of patients, carers, General Practitioners and PCT's/commissioners
  • To lead, co-ordinate and manage the delivery of organisational change within own area of responsibility, working collaboratively with Lead Clinicians and nursing staff
  • Through management of administration and utilising appropriate methodologies improve systems and process to the patient pathways

Experience & Qualifications Required:

  • Operational management experience in the NHS, including staff management and budget management experience
  • Strong communication skills including the ability to relate and communicate with patients and staff at all levels and from different professions
  • Ability to analyse complex problems and interpret information effectively and exercise sound judgement and develop practical and workable solutions as a consequence
  • Ability to manage to deadlines and within resources

This role is initially for 3 months, paying £224 per day umbrella inside IR35 and will be based on site in Kent.
