Applications are invited for four substantive Band 6 Senior Genetic Technologist posts in the Newcastle Genetics Laboratory.
Applicants should have a degree in a relevant biological or biomedical subject, and previous clinical laboratory experience, as well as a mature attitude and an appreciation of the importance of genetic testing to patients and their families. The successful candidates will play an essential role in delivery and analysis across the whole range of genomic testing offered by the laboratory.
The Newcastle Genetics Laboratory forms part of the North East and Yorkshire Genomic Laboratory Hub, alongside our partners in Leeds and Sheffield. The Laboratory is housed in purpose built accommodation at the Institute of Genetic Medicine close to Newcastle city centre, and has a close association with the high profile academic groups working in the Institute of Genetic Medicine research laboratories.
