Job Description
We are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic and suitably qualified mammographer to join our friendly and dedicated Breast Imaging Team in the Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Trust.

The Breast Unit is a busy department working within both the National Breast Screening service and a Symptomatic Breast service. The ability to work both in a team and independently, and to communicate in a wide variety of settings, is essential.
The Newcastle Breast Screening Service delivers a screening service to a large rural area therefore a current driving licence and access to a car is essential.
Applicants for the above posts must hold a degree in Diagnostic or Therapeutic Radiography, be HCPC registered and have working knowledge of NHS policies and procedures. A postgraduate qualification in Mammographic studies or equivalent as approved by NHS Breast Screening Programme is also essential.

- To work in the Breast Screening and Assessment Centre based at the RVI and in the community on 3 breast screening trailers that move around the North East region.
- To be part of a team delivering a high quality efficient and effective radiographic service, to make an informed decision on the diagnostic images required and demonstrate a professional, caring and responsible approach to patients.
- In collaboration with the Superintendent Radiographer, provide a screening, assessment and symptomatic service whilst helping to sustain and develop effective working relationships in close collaboration with professional colleagues.
