Salary: £52,084 + depending on experience


What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead and conduct Quality Audits across the Air UK business management system providing confidence that the controls are being applied effectively and consistently to maintain AS9100 certification
  • Support the Governance and Assurance Quality manager in developing and deploying the Air Quality Audit strategy
  • Support the Audit programme manager in reporting audit outcomes and insights to top management and audit programme sponsors
  • Identify business Improvements to move the business beyond compliance to a more effective and efficient organisation
  • Complete Audit follow up to support the business in audit finding management
  • Interviewing and reporting to all levels within the organisation

Your skills and experiences:

Essentials:

  • HND/HNC (or equivalent relevant experience) in Quality or a STEM subject
  • An experienced Auditor who has led and managed audit teams who is familiar with the international management system auditing standard (ISO 19011) and has knowledge of quality requirements for aerospace and defence contracts (e.g. AS9100/9001)
  • Have the ability to drive improvements, moving the organisation forward from beyond compliance to a more efficient and effective one
  • Ability to adapt, be flexible and to work across a number of sites and location within the Air UK business

Desirables:

  • Good knowledge of the application of high-level structured Management Systems and integrated Audit schedule design
  • Six sigma green or black belt accreditation
  • Chartered Quality Professional or IRCA accredited professional Auditor

The Central Quality Governance and Assurance team:

The team support the development and deployment of the Quality audit strategy, with a specific focus to complete audits at several UK based sites in support of the delivery of the AS9100 process performance audit schedule. Within the team you will have an opportunity to work closely with senior internal stakeholders across the business including the Quality Director, Functional Directors and assurance leads.
