Senior Procurement and Contracts Specialist - IT


Contract type:
Permanent
Working hours: Full Time
Location: We’ll support you to work flexibly from home (providing a suite of IT equipment), whilst coming together on site to offer face to face support and collaboration.
Closing date: Thursday 25th May
Salary: Negotiable depending on experience


We are looking for a dynamic, passionate, and experienced procurement professional to join our supply chain department. You will be a Business Partner primarily to the IT/Technology function. You’ll support, challenge, and advise on strategic and commercial decisions related to third-party providers to support EDF Energy’s ambitions.


The opportunity…


  • Our Supply Chain department work hard to maximise value for EDF in the UK through the professional supply chain of third-party goods and services. As a successful Senior Procurement and contracts specialist, you will be instrumental in leading supplier selection, contract negotiation and supporting ongoing contract delivery throughout the full contract lifecycle.
  • You’ll act as a Subject Matter Expert for the business and other Supply Chain colleagues on commercial and contractual matters relating to IT/Technology 3rd party supplier contracts, with an emphasis on, but not limited to, complex software licencing contracts.
  • You will be responsible for managing your own portfolio of suppliers/contracts/projects as well as supporting other Supply Chain areas as and when required


What we’re looking for…


Alongside excellent verbal and communication skills, experience relevant to the role particularly within IT/Technology category management is a must. This includes managing complex software licencing and support contracts and demonstrated experience in the award and development of contracts and supply chain strategies for complex high value projects.


We need you to have a strong understanding of contract and commercial law and sound understanding of contractual terms and conditions to be successful.


You will be somebody that thrives in an environment where you can be flexible, enjoy exploring different approaches and thinking on your feet. You will be confident in contract management and providing commercial solutions, as well as being experienced in supplier relationship management.


Experience in project work would be highly beneficial as there will be opportunities to get involved in several strategic projects. Ideally you will be CIPS qualified or working towards this.
