Senior Data Engineer - Norwich - Hybrid - Up to £57,000

I am currently working with a UK-based insurance firm who are looking to bring on a Senior Data Engineer to join their team in either their Norwich office location on a hybrid basis. My client has been operating for over 320 years and have amassed a customer base of over 15 million people nationwide who trust in their well-established name and innovative services to protect their belongings and savings for a secure and risk-free future.


They are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join their global Data Science Practice, an integral aspect of their company when working to provide impeccable end-to-end solutions and as you will be leading their team of Data Engineers, you will be a key component in defining their business practices and applying them to more junior members of your team, liaising throughout the business and ensuring you are doing everything you can to ensure the client can attain their goal of delivering first-class facilities to their customers while working with the latest technologies in an innovative way to ensure your own technical and non-technical development.


Essential Skills:

• Experience working with Cloud in larger organisations, ideally within the Oracle space.
• Excellent SQL and Oracle development skills.
• Strong experience working in Data Ingestion and Integration, designing and implementing ETL pipelines on a range of technologies and the ability to monitor data quality and integrity.
• A strong background in managing a team of data specialists working on resolution infrastructure, database, application and data issues and ensuring project delivery by monitoring and reporting on KPI's.

This role works on a Hybrid basis with 2 days being required to work on-site and you are given the freedom to work at home for the remaining 3 days and it is integral that you are currently living near their Norwich office branch. Please do note that further travel may be necessary to travel to other business locations around the UK as required, however, this will be expensed.
