School Site Team Member (Temporary Post)
37 Hours per Week
GLEA Grade 3, Points 6-9 (£20,812 to £21,968 per annum on full time basis)

We are recruiting for an individual to join our busy Estates Team on a temporary basis to cover long term absence, as soon as possible.
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, hardworking and diligent applicant who will make a positive contribution to the presentation of the School buildings and grounds to staff, students, parents and the wider public.
The role requires that the post holder is able to work flexible hours to accommodate early (from 7am) and late (until 5.30pm) days, Monday to Friday.
The Team Member role is a key post in respect of the general maintenance, cleanliness, safety and security at the School. During quiet hours and holidays the post holder will represent The King’s School and as such they will be expected to maintain the very highest standards of personal turnout, conduct and attention to detail.
Applicants will be required to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and as this post is considered to be ‘regulated activity’, a check through the Disclosure and Barring Service including the children’s barred list.
Successful applicants must be familiar with, and comply with policies and procedures relating to safeguarding, child protection and promote the welfare of students.
The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the School is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are “spent” unless they are “protected” under the DBS filtering rules, see https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/dbs-filtering-guidance) in order to assess their suitability to work with children.
