UK Solutions Salesperson
London



This role is deemed as a Certified role under the PRA & UK Financial Conduct Authority - Individual Accountabilities Regulations and may require the role holder to hold mandatory regulatory qualifications or the minimum qualifications to meet internal company benchmarks.



As a Barclays UK Solutions Salesperson you will provide ALM and Solutions coverage to UK institutional clients, including Banks and Insurers. The candidate will work with Structuring and Trading to deliver complex solutions to clients and to develop new opportunities. Areas of involvement will include ALM, Hedging, Illiquid Assets and other Structured Trade opportunities. You will build upon your Markets and Derivatives expertise, and play a key role in developing this business area.

What will you be doing?
  • Providing client coverage across institutional clients
  • Working in tandem with Structuring and Trading to build the franchise
  • Liaising with Banking and SRM to deliver the firm
  • Attaining budget and market share targets
  • Assisting with product innovation and development of new opportunities
  • Managing client expectations and negotiations
  • Developing internal and external relationships


What we’re looking for:
  • Well-developed analytical skills with experience in ALM and Solutions
  • Team player with attention to detail
  • Excellent communications skills and ability to develop internal and external relationships
  • Excellent technical skills and ability to innovate


Skills that will help you in the role:
  • Knowledge of insurance market regulation
  • Actuarial skills useful but not essential
  • Leadership skills
  • A high level of Proficiency in Excel/ Powerpoint
