Job overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Liaison and Diversion Team, Street Triage and Mental Health Probation Team as Resource Manager on a 12 month fixed contract due to funding, to support the non clinical management of the team.

The successful applicant will be expected to work across Urgent Care Mental Health First Response Services, which will include Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Teams, Liaison Services, Street Triage Services, Liaison and Diversion Services and the Crisis Line.

Main duties of the job

To support the Team Manager to ensure that all aspects of quality of care are delivered, placing the needs of service users at the centre of everything we do.

Take responsibility for non-clinical day to day aspects of the team, working closely with the Team Manager, Community Matron, Clinical Case Managers, Clinical Leads and Deputy Clinical Services Manager.

All new clinical support staff will be required to have completed or working towards the Care Certificate (CWP In-house 2 day training to be completed within 6 months of start date).

Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. A small annual fee of £13 per year applies.

New entrants to the NHS will commence on the minimum of the scale stated above.

  • Degree or equivalent level qualification
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
Desirable criteria
  • Management course.

Knowledge and Expertise

  • Specialist knowledge relevant to the service
  • Working knowledge of all relevant legislation
  • Understanding of the role and function of other organisations providing services to the local population.
  • Understanding of the legislative and quality frameworks that govern provision of community services
  • Evidence of undertaking audit work

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience of managing nonclinical staff and other professionals
  • Experience of implementing significant changes in working practices
  • Experience of monitoring standards of care.
  • Experience of providing supervision.
  • Experience of working within a multidisciplinary team
  • Experience of recruitment and selection of staff

Applicant requirements

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
