Area Sales Manager – Household Brand

A rare opportunity has arisen for a well-established household brand. My client has been trading for over 40 years, and are growing phenomenally, with their innovative and trustworthy product range. They provide smart, sustainable products to a range of industries, such as: hospitality, educational institutes, corporate businesses and many more.

My client is looking for a dynamic field sales manager/business development manager, to identify and develop new business opportunities, focusing on the hospitality sector. Generous Salary package of £35-37k + £50k OTE (Uncapped) + £7k Car allowance.

What does the role look like?
To identify and obtain new business opportunities within the hospitability sector, mainly targeting, hotels, spas, and restaurants. You will work across the M1 corridor, ranging from, North London-Essex, covering specific postcodes such as: HA, MK, EN, NW, LV, CV, NN, CO. This role 100% pure new business, and once you have agreed sales/contracts, you would pass these onto the account managers.

You must have:
  • Field Sales Experience in a Service Contract/capital equipment environment.
  • Experience selling contracts between 3-5 years.
  • Strong knowledge and experience doing the full sales process.
  • Be proficient in lead generation, via various channels such as, sales navigator, referrals, and building strong relationships with external stakeholders.
  • Experienced in delivering a solution-based sales process.
  • Strong pipeline management
  • Great communication and influencing skills, written and verbal.
  • A clean driving licence 3 years+
  • Live on patch, e.g., North London/Cambridgeshire/Milton Keynes/Hertfordshire/Northampton
Key Responsibilities:
  • To effectively target new business opportunities in the defined territory to deliver quarterly and annual financial targets.
  • Effectively network within target sectors in line with commercial strategy. This includes corporate, manufacturing, hotels, restaurants, catering firms.
  • Accountable to self-generate high value customer leads to ensure target customer profile mix is achieved.
  • Contact and convert marketing lead opportunities within timings and process.
  • Ensure the ongoing management of won customers is effectively communicated, and a structured handover is completed to the incoming account handler, where agreed in line with customer profile/type.
  • Present customer proposals (and pricing) within agreed templates.
  • Accurate forecasting of monthly sales performance and installs.
  • Attend Trade shows/Networking Events (where required) with support from internal stakeholders to ensure high brand awareness.
