Job Description

As Systems Programme Manager you will lead the digital transformation across TA&D, helping to optimise the way the organisation uses technology and improve the way they work, to provide an outstanding service for our colleagues, members, customers and candidates. You'll take the lead when it comes to managing and growing digital platforms, with a particular focus on Oracle (mainly Oracle Recruit and Learning).

Key responsibilities include;

  • Design, manage, shape and prioritise the TA&D technology backlog to keep a healthy list of items that are ready for development with our technology partners
  • Lead the implementation of new services and technologies within TA&D
  • Facilitate in the design, development and testing of tech solutions, putting users at the heart everything you do
  • Create and deliver product roadmaps for all key systems (Oracle - Talent HCM, Docebo and third-party platforms)
  • Be responsible for championing the embedding of platforms into ways of working, making sure all colleagues have access to the relevant talent technology
  • Support and develop a team of direct reports, carrying out all line management duties for these colleagues
  • Help the wider TA&D team to succeed by providing insight and data-led decision making and critical thinking
  • Be the link between ITEF (IT enabling functions) and business support in relation to user acceptance, testing, operational acceptance testing and new configuration deployment
  • Manage change and join the dots for key partners on how changes impact the wider colleague lifecycle and portfolio
  • Manage and coach the team and provide a best-in-class support service



The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate has;

  • Extensive experience of using Oracle software, specifically Oracle Recruit and / or Learning - or experience with similar functionality systems
  • A good understanding of Power BI would be useful in this role but isn't essential
  • Some previous line management experience, or a desire to develop these skills and lead a team
  • Experience with processing, testing and continuous improvement
  • Great communication skills with the ability to challenge senior colleagues and push back in the right way when necessary
  • Ideally line management or mentoring experience

What's on Offer

This role is offering up to £65,000 FTE (depending on experience). The role is for a term of 14 months.

Ideally the candidate is able to work from the Manchester city centre offices on a regular basis, but there is a minimum requirement to be present 1 day per month
