We are looking for two motivated and hardworking Input producers to join our team of brilliant journalists and bookers to help secure the best guests and content for the ITV breakfast programme ‘Good Morning Britain’. The successful candidates will have a track record in identifying great stories and turning them into cracking TV. They will be adept at writing accurate, punchy briefs and have proven journalistic ability, with creative flair and legal authority. The person we are looking for will be brimming with story ideas that reflect the diversity of our viewers and speak to our growing audience.

Candidates must also be skilled at dealing with contributors and able to fulfil our duty of care remit.

Both roles involve working some Sundays and late shifts. ITV welcomes candidates from a diverse background.

Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)

• National newsroom or network broadcast experience
• Background in print journalism an advantage
• Track record in identifying and booking first-rate guests
• Great contacts book
• Strong brief writing skills
• Understanding of contributor duty of care remit
• Training in media law and compliance

Other things we’re looking for (key criteria)

• Understanding of the breakfast television audience
• Experience in reacting to breaking news
• Flair for great programme and news treatments
• Ability to work under pressure and in a team
• Ability to multitask
• Flexibility with regard to shift pattern
