Job Description

The Principle Salesforce Platform Engineer is responsible for the overall health of the Salesforce platform and for how change is delivered.
Responsibilities include:
  • Overseeing DevOps processes and optimising how change is delivered.
  • Further development of DevOps capabilities and tooling.
  • Run centre of excellence meetings with focus on exceptional delivery.
  • Enforcing agreed standards working closely with vendors to ensure consistent delivery of functionality.
  • Production monitoring for error monitoring, event monitoring, etc.
  • Supports Architecture Governance reviews with a focus around solutions being operationally ready, reducing risk at and post implementation.
  • Formulate strategy around technical remediation and conduct analysis on the health of Salesforce orgs. Provide recommendations to improve health of Salesforce environment.
  • Stay up to date on Salesforce best practices, new features, and product updates.
Experience needed:
  • Experience in release management in complex and large projects/programmes.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, working closely with project team members (Project managers, QA Lead)
  • Ability to identify and correlate independent incidents to understand potential root causes
  • A detailed knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SLDC)
  • Experience with Salesforce system performance metrics, analytics and observability.
  • Expert in Salesforce platform.
  • Experience collaborating with and supporting engineering-led teams and able to help leverage the value of platform based solutions to accelerate outcomes.
