In-house training will be provided on the key aspects of PR.

Main Duties:

- Day-to-day support of the Account Management team

- Implementing PR plans

- Writing press releases

- Creating media lists

- Pitching stories to media by phone

- Contributing to the company’s social media channels through targeted content

Hours Daily 9am - 3pm or 9am - 5pm negotiable

This position is remote.

Responsibilities and Duties

About You:

You will be super-organised with plenty of drive and enthusiasm to hit the ground running. You will be full of initiative and be happy to work on your own and as part of a small team. Ideally you will have experience of the PR industry or will have studied a relevant degree in PR or Journalism. Excellent writing and speaking skills are a must.

The role:

You will be working in an exciting fast-track growth PR agency so ideally you will be a self-starter who is brimming with creative ideas. Your personality will shine through and you’ll bring certain skills of your own that will benefit the whole team.

You'll need to be personable as this isn’t a role where you can hide behind a computer. You’ll regularly be on the phone talking to journalists and/or clients. At times, you may be representing a client so you will need to research and understand their business and be able to communicate their key messages and stories clearly and succinctly to a journalist.

You will be someone who thrives on building honest and respectful client relationships. You will be an excellent communicator and able to organise and recall information about a portfolio of clients. Additionally, you will be technologically intuitive and able to pick up new systems quickly.

Qualifications and Skills

Skills & Abilities Required:

- Degree in PR preferred but relevant experience if not

- Computer literacy and willingness to learn about new tools

- Confident telephone manner

- Excellent interpersonal skills

- Social media savvy

- Willingness to work on a variety of different tasks to make the new company a success

- Confidence to deal with media and clients as required

- Interest in news and current affairs and the appetite to consume news every day

- Ability and appetite to take on media relations for both clients and for the company itself

- Excellent writing skills

- Flexible approach and attitude and creative thought

- Understanding of confidentiality and the importance of keeping client and agency information secure
