We are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative pharmacist to join the surgical pharmacy team at a senior level on the East side of University Hospitals Sussex (UHS). The successful candidate will help develop the pharmacy service in line with the aspirations of the pharmacy department, the Division and the Trust. The successful post holder will be the Sussex regional Lead for Acute Major Trauma and Orthopaedics, Surgical Anaesthetics, Main Theatres and Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance Service.

The Sussex Trauma Network brings together all those responsible for treating major trauma patients across Sussex.The Major Trauma Centre is based at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton. It hosts all the key specialities needed to treat major trauma. Depending on journey time and injury, patients can be transported directly to the Major Trauma Centre following on-scene assessment, or may be transferred from a trauma unit following initial care and stabilisation. Trauma units play a vital role in the initial resuscitation of major trauma patients. They may also be involved in the on-going care, specialist needs such as burns, and rehabilitation.
