The vision for the Pharmacy & Medicines service is to deliver clinically led, person-centred services to ensure patients across Lothian get the best from their medicines and pharmacy services. We are focussed on creating an environment where each person in the team has the opportunity to flourish, develop and make best use of their skills.

This is an exciting new post to lead scoping and planning for the enactment of the Health and Care (Staffing) (Scotland) Act 2019 across our single system pharmacy service. We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic leader who demonstrates a high level of professional practice to implement local and national strategies and work collaboratively with other professions to develop a robust and systematic approach to the enactment of the legislation. The post maintains a clinical commitment which can be agreed in accordance with the successful candidate’s previous experience and service need in primary care or hospital sites.

This post also offers the opportunity to undertake personal practice-based research and commission, supervise and support others undertaking research, audit or quality improvement work in the area of workforce planning. This post is excellent for candidates looking to develop their Advanced Practice Portfolio in line with the Royal Pharmaceutical Society framework.

You must be registered as a Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council and have a post-graduate qualification in clinical pharmacy or equivalent.
