Overview
A well‐established reputable business is seeking an experienced and self‐motivated Payroll Specialist to join their International Payroll team. Reporting to the International Payroll Manager, you will ensure employees are paid accurately and on time across EMEA and APAC region. The role supports remote and hybrid working model, with UK head office in Manchester.
Payroll Responsibilities
Coordinates with HR, Finance, and third‐party payroll provider to ensure payroll accuracy for international countries.
Hands‐on with the day‐to‐day payroll function for all the multi‐country payroll activities.
Maintain payroll information from data collection, payroll calculation, data entry to check distribution, variances of pay and finalise payroll cycle.
Provide internal finance team and payroll provider disbursements of funds for employees, benefit providers, taxes, and other third‐party payments as necessary.
Monitors payroll‐related transactions and verifies that they are processed in compliance with external and internal policies.
Identifies and implements payroll process improvements and best practices.
Keep up knowledge of payroll‐related rules and legislation that govern the payroll administration practices.
Ensure all processors, payments, reporting, record keeping are maintained and all international payroll related obligations are met.
Build good working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders while maintaining confidentiality and always‐showing tact, sensitivity, and support.
Provide advice and guidance to employees and managers regarding payroll queries.
Ability to work under pressure and multitask within time‐sensitive constraints.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Must be able to communicate effectively to a large remote workforce.
Processing and submission of pension scheme contributions.
Assist in the preparation of the EOM payroll Journal.
Support International payroll manager in international payroll implementations and other special projects. Maintain and update employee changes in various internal systems.
Essential Requirements are:
German or French speaking, with Germany or France payroll experience is desired.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
5+ years of payroll experience, working both internal and with third party payroll providers.
Experience of International multi‐country payroll, with different payroll system.
Advanced knowledge of Excel required (i.e. VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and index abilities).
Strong analytical, organizational, troubleshooting and problem‐resolution skills.
Highly efficient, organized, diligent and demonstrate a strong desire to learn new things.
Strong attention to detail.
