Job Description

Permanent contract | 37 hours per week | £27,344 to £29,439 per annum (Grade G) | Dereham, Norfolk

As a Pathway Advisor, you will work in an office-based role and will receive verbal and written requests for support where it has been determined that they are not of a safeguarding nature and therefore support could be offered at Tier 1 & Tier 2 in accordance with the Norfolk Threshold Guide.

Pathway Advisors work with both internal and external colleagues to provide high-quality outcome focused support, advice and guidance to partners, children and their families where there are no safeguarding concerns. This includes identifying local organisations and opportunities that can support children and families in preventing them from requiring targeted/statutory Children’s Services intervention and/or to assist them in returning to accessing a universal service pathway.

Pathway Advisors liaise with internal and external partners to support families in building capacity and resilience for the future and promote inclusion in the community. This is a key role in challenging colleagues and partner organisations, making sure that they are aware of their responsibilities and accountabilities to ensure early intervention and preventative services are provided which promote access to the community on all levels.

Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check to assess the suitability of candidates to work with children or other vulnerable groups.

For an informal discussion regarding this vacancy please contact Sallie Rodwell (Partner and Community Focus Manager) at sallie.rodwell@norfolk.gov.uk
