An exciting opportunity has risen for a dietitian to join the Children's metabolic service at Nottingham Children's hospital . This post will be part of a newly formed multi disciplinary team forming the new joint East Midlands Metabolic service .
Are you a dietitian keen to expand your clinical experience in paediatric metabolic disorders ? Do you have a passion for improving patient outcomes with the best nutritional care? We are looking for a forward thinking and enthusiastic dietitian to join our established teams of approximately 30 paediatric dietitians,assistants and technicians based at Nottingham Children’s hospital at NUH. You will become an integral member of our supportive multidisciplinary team delivering high quality, patient centred dietetic care.

You will be part of a newly formed and developing joint venture forming the new paediatric joint East Midlands metabolic service .
You will be working within a team of 4 dietitians , 1 technician , 2 metabolic consultants and 3 nurses with additional admin support .
The job is varied and includes providing dietary advice to families with children and young people, group education and teaching for schools/health care professionals. You will be a valued member of the team providing in and out-patient services and attending multi-disciplinary meetings.

The Nottingham Children's Hospital (NCH) is based at the Queens Medical Centre campus and is part of NUH. We provide in-patient and out-patient care for children up to the age of 19 years old.
With 97 beds, we care for around 40,000 children each year from Nottinghamshire and beyond, treating a full range of conditions, including planned and emergency treatment and surgery, burns and plastics, neurological conditions, oncology, paediatric critical care, renal conditions and transplantation, gastroenterology, and spinal and orthopaedic care.
The Children’s Dietetic team at NCH is a friendly and supportive department who work closely alongside the wider MDT, providing excellent evidence based care and innovative ways of working.
Throughout NUH we have a diverse range of AHP and support staff who work together to deliver the high quality care we aspire to supported by our Chief AHP to lead us on our strategic direction.
Detailed job description and main responsibilities
You must have experience of working as a Dietitian. You will need to have excellent communication and leadership skills, a flexible approach and the ability to manage your own time and workload and that of other members of staff within a supportive team. You will work alongside dietitians as well as dietetic technicians and dietetic assistants. We expect you to be
enthusiastic, motivated and keen to develop your own skills and those of others. Experience of nutritional support is essential. Additional training will be provided.
As part of this role it is essential that you will be able to wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) accordingly to national and local guidance.

Salary: The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.
