Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a static part time Band 5 Occupational Therapist to join our Local Primary Mental Health Support Service (LPMHSS) based in Tonna Hospital.

The post holder will provide assessments and therapeutic interventions to patients with under Part 1 of the Mental Health Measure with low to moderate mental health conditions. Supporting individuals to remain living independently in the community, to rebuild skills and improve engagement in meaningful activities.

You will have the support of an occupational therapy team, with opportunities to develop your practice and skills in a variety of areas. We are a learning organisation and value supervision and continued professional development.

You will be required to work closely with MDT colleagues and contribute to the development of a high-quality, evidence-based occupational therapy service. You will have an opportunity to help shape and promote the service, providing you with a unique opportunity to engage in service development and change.

We are seeking a proactive, flexible and highly motivated Occupational Therapist to join us in Swansea Bay University Health board.
