The King Edward VII Memorial Hospital (KEMH) has an excellent opportunity for District Nurses to work in the Community Support Team, supporting people to live at home and eventually in the new extra-care facility of Tussac House. You will be able to expand your horizons whilst living and working in our beautiful islands.
About the roles:
The KEMH is the present base for all the Islands’ Health services. We are looking to recruit experienced district nurses to deliver care packages as part of a team of nurses, carers and other support workers. We provide care and support to individuals in their own homes, sheltered housing and a new 45 bedded extra-care facility, due to open in early 2024.
Our ward and district nursing teams work closely together with the wider multi-disciplinary team to provide exemplary patient care. We provide care whatever the patient’s age or condition, including out of hours urgent care.
The successful applicants will need to be enthusiastic and keen to learn about the people and the islands in order to reflect the care provision that will best meet our needs. The successful applicant will need to have a degree that allows qualification as a nurse and be able to demonstrate current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of the UK or equivalent along with a strong background in providing quality nursing care and managing teams through change.
