Job Description

An opportunity has arisen in our Out of Home Sales team at Taylors of Harrogate and we are looking for a National Account Executive to join us. We have an ambitious plan to drive profitable growth in this sector, delivering stretching commercial and brand building objectives. As a National Account Executive, you will be responsible for extending our reach with Out of Home distributers by increasing the depth of our relationships. The nature of this role means that you will spend a lot of time on the road, visiting and building relationships with distributers and potential customers.


About you

We're looking for someone who can demonstrate these sales competencies:

  • Be Effective - bring drive and determination to overcome inertia and obstacles and 'make it happen'
  • Connecting with People - using awareness to adapt own style and language to speak to each person in theirs (verbal and non-verbal rapport)
  • Presenting with Passion - delivering a compelling, audience-relevant message in a clear, concise & structured way

It's essential that you can demonstrate the following skills:

  • Strong numeracy and analytical skills, with the ability to communicate effectively, sometimes in pressured situations
  • Confident on MS Office - particularly analysing data in Excel, to reach accurate conclusions and meaningful insights

Preferred but non-essential requirements:

  • An impressive track record of driving your learning and development. This might be demonstrated through successful completion of a degree, apprenticeship or other professional qualifications
  • Previous experience of working in a collaborative sales team environment
  • Some existing understanding of the UK FMCG market
  • Previous experience of working with distributers or end-user customers would be an advantage
  • An understanding of sales drivers, and how to influence the point of purchase
