Job Description
Provide direct midwifery care within a safe environment, working as part of a multi-disciplinary team by assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating midwifery care.

ULHT provides intrapartum care for approximately 5,500 women and their families across two consultant led sites working together closely in order to provide safe effective care for women and their families. Our local community is multicultural with a diverse mix of health needs.
The Midwives work within the unit rotating around each of the areas to gain and maintain essential experience in all aspects of maternity care. The care will include ante natal care, intrapartum care and postnatal care. The successful Band 5 candidates will undertake a minimum 12 month preceptorship training package to help them with the transition between being a student and being a qualified member of the team. While the successful band 6 candidates will receive an induction period to allow rotation within the department.
This is a substantive / fixed term opportunity. Part time and full time hours will be considered.
