Brief Description of the Role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic, well-motivated Medical Secretary to join the Dermatology Team. The post holder will be required to have flexibility in covering the service during the core hours of 8:00 - 17:00.
The post is primarily based at St Luke's Hospital but the post holder may at times be expected to provide cross cover to the other secretarial teams in the directorate which covers both the Bradford Royal Infirmary and St Lukes Hospital Site.
For the Band 3 Medical Secretary role you will work within a multi-disciplinary team, and be responsible for a range of duties related to cancer pathway management, including; diary management, audio transcription and word processing of clinical letters, production of reports including managing outpatient waiting lists and assisting with data quality corrections as required.
You should be literate and numerate, with excellent organisational, time management and an ability to work without supervision and to tight deadlines and under pressure.
IT skills including knowledge of Microsoft packages are essential.
