This is an exciting opportunity for either an ECT or an Experienced Mathematics Teacher to join a large Maths department with over 15 staff members. The department is highly successful with exceptional results both at GCSE and A Level. The appointed Mathematics Teacher will be someone who is confident and able to teach across all Key Stages and ability ranges. There are fantastic opportunities for future career development and there is an outstanding ECT programme on offer. The most important thing about the role is that we appoint a Mathematics Teacher that is able to build rapport with the students and motivate them in the subject.
Upon joining the school, the successful applicant will be a part of a department who embrace the latest developments in Maths teaching and are committed to promoting the joy, beauty and power of Mathematics to young people. Maths is extremely popular in the sixth form and there is a large uptake of the subject at AS and A Level including Further Maths, we have now also introduced core Maths as part of the curriculum offer. The school encourage collaboration, debate and discussion both within their team and in their classrooms and strongly believe that this culture has led to the excellent track record of success in Maths.
