Wireman Manufacturing Technician
Working on Various Production, Prototype & Development Products in a production environment. Performing Repairs, Modifications and Upgrades to various legacy Underwater Weapon & Defence Products Adhere to Lean Principles and be able to identify and initiate Continuous Improvement opportunities. Requires flexibility to move between projects and contracts and is able to work with little or no engineering support. Needs to understand in detail and at all times comply with external LRQA standards such as AS9100 and ISO9001
Essential skills
Detailed understanding of Module, Cabinet & Cable Wiring, and Electrical Connectors & Terminations
Competent in Hand Build PCB Assembly techniques including Repairs & Modifications, and using a Microscope
Ability to perform Complex Assembly / Dis-Assembly or Modification Tasks on electronic and electro/mechanical components, subassemblies and systems
Be able to work to Work Instructions, Drawings, Wiring Schedules, Circuit Diagrams, Schematics and Design Engineering Sketches
Understanding of Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) Procedures within the Electronics Manufacturing Environment Desireable
Trained & Certified in Workmanship / Soldering Standard IPC 610 and IPC620 (Class 3)
