Our client is looking for an experienced Manual Turner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining manual lathes to produce high-quality precision components.

The role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC machines to produce high-quality precision components. The ideal candidate will have experience working with a variety of materials and be able to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

Operate and maintain manual lathes to produce precision components to required specifications
Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accuracy and quality of components produced
Use measuring equipment to inspect and verify the accuracy of machined components
Monitor machine performance and identify any issues or defects
Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimum performance and longevity
Adhere to health and safety guidelines at all times

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Manual Turner
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Proficient in the use of manual lathes and other relevant machinery
Strong attention to detail and ability to work to tight tolerances
Knowledge of different materials and their properties
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Excellent problem-solving skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Commitment to health and safety in the workplace
