Description
The role will help support our maintenance team who look after our premises spread across three sites, with a mix of labs, offices and
warehousing. You will be supported and mentored by an experienced maintenance engineer who will help guide you through your apprenticeship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Learn to undertake preventative and reactive repairs and maintenance tasks
- Assist in the warehouse/reception with answering door, receiving deliveries and generally keeping tidy
- Help run and log regular health and safety checks (fire alarm/emergency lighting/water temps, etc)
- Help maintain company vehicles (basic oil/fluid/tyre checks, etc.)
- Keep refreshments and office consumables fully stocked throughout the day
- Ability to drive company vehicles between sites is desirable but not essential
- To undertake any other appropriate roles and responsibilities that reasonably fall within the role holder’s skills and experience as requested
Entry requirements
GCSE grades 4-9 or equivalent in Maths and English required.
Training to be provided
- The learner will be studying the Property Maintenance Operative Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard qualification.
- Day release to West Suffolk College.
- Functional skills will be studied if equivalent qualifications are not held.
Things to consider
Be happy to be on your feet the majority of the day and be willing to work across 3 sites within 2 miles of each other.
