Flight Line Operations Supervisor

Affinity Flying Services supports the UK military air capability by playing a key part in the seamless progression of pilots through flying training. Under a landmark partnering programme with the Ministry of Defence, we supply and maintain three fleets of aircraft to deliver Elementary and Multi-Engine Flying Training within the UK Military Flying Training System (UKMFTS). Through technical advancement and commercial innovation, we deliver safe, airworthy aircraft to match the training needs of the next generation on the frontline.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Flight Line Operations Supervisor to join our team at RAF Cranwell and Barkston Heath

Responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of Ground Operations in support of the Daily Flying Programme (DFP).

To be considered for the position it is essential to have the following experience, qualifications, and behaviours:

  • Appropriate recent practical experience in a senior role.
  • Experience in managing and being responsible for a team in a safety critical environment.
  • High level of computer literacy.
  • Full UK driver’s licence.
  • Ability to deliver a professional and customer orientated service.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritise and operate safely whilst under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and literacy skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships, motivating individuals and teams.
  • Flexibility and openness to development opportunities.
  • Willingness to learn new skills.
  • This is a part-time permanent position based on 35 hours a week, Monday to Friday.

Additional information/requirements: -

  • The successful candidate will be required to undertake MoD Security clearance and hold the legal right to work in the UK. Due to compliance with MoD regulations, candidates will need to have had at least 3 years' residency in the UK.
  • Verification of any essential qualifications/licences/passport will be required to be shown at the interview stage.
