Salary: £60,000 + Depending on experience


What you’ll be doing:

  • Responsible for the development and deployment of best practice learning policies, processes and supporting tools
  • Develop the communication and engagement material to support roll out and implementation of learning policies, process and tools
  • Analyses industry best practice and market trends to identify short and long term solutions to improve the learning process
  • Provide analytical insight with the ability to interpret, manage and manipulate data
  • Support delivery of high quality, accurate and efficient end to end learning services
  • Apply business and relationship management skills to provide specialist insight to the Business & People teams & functions to influence, facilitate and implement change
  • Work with other CoEs and other partners to deliver integrated business-focussed solutions across learning
  • Manage and lead projects to deliver agreed business/functional outcomes
  • Lead and contribute to steering/working groups to deliver Centre of Expertise (COE) requirements
  • Provide education and supporting tools to ensure People Advisors and People Partners (CoE) can provide effective business implementation and delivery of learning processes

Your skills and experiences:

  • Experience of leading learning and development activity ideally within a global environment working as the learning SME
  • Proven experience of translating learning into appropriate solutions and delivering within budget/timescales
  • Effective understanding of the business strategy and able to disseminate this information clearly to articulate to the team to deliver

Desirable

  • Degree in Human Resources / Business / other relevant subject or equivalent
  • CIPD Qualification

The Learning Team:

This role sits within our Head Office Human Resources function and we are currently a team of five. You will be working closely with our Head of Learning around best practice, strategy and how we can develop our learning culture within the organisation

The role holder will have detailed learning and development knowledge and bring best practice and external benchmarking to BAE Systems. The role requires a strong focus on customer service and you will interface with the wider CoE teams and associated stakeholders, with a good understanding of best practice from an internal and external lens.
