This opportunity is in the solution design and development arena for Lead Python Web Developer who will play a major role with the technical design and development of company’s technical offerings. The role is based at our Leicester office with occasional assignments at client locations.

Job Description (Main Duties and Responsibilities):

  • Leading a team of Python developers: You will be responsible for guiding, mentoring, and managing the team of Python developers working on various web development projects.
  • Integrating user-facing elements with server-side logic.
  • Ultimately, you’ll build highly responsive web applications that align with our business needs.
  • Improve functionality of existing systems, implement security and data protection solutions.
  • Writing effective and scalable Python codes.
  • Designing and implementing robust applications.
  • Assess and prioritize feature requests.
  • Managing project timelines: You will be responsible for creating project timelines and ensuring that the team meets the deadlines.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams: You will work closely with other teams such as designers, QA engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Integration of data storage solutions.
  • Reprogramming existing databases to improve functionality.
  • Performance tuning, improvement, balancing, usability, automation.

Key Skills, Qualifications and Experience Needed [The candidate must demonstrate these in all stages of assessment]

  • Familiarity with front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
  • Expertise In Core Python.
  • Should have 7+ years of experience as a Python web application Developer.
  • Good knowledge Django, Flask or similar Python frameworks.
  • Knowledge of ORM (Object Relational Mapper).
  • Understanding of Multi-Process Architecture.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Ability to integrate multiple data sources into a single system.
  • Good knowledge of Database.
  • Good experience in Code versioning tools like Git, SVN, etc.
