Looking for an experienced, hardworking and passionate kitchen Porter/ Kitchen Assistant to support the kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have either experience in a commercial kitchen or a passion to hop on the first step of their catering career.

MUST BE ABLE TO WORK DAY SHIFTS AS WELL AS EVENINGS AND WEEKENDS!

**This is back breaking work!** It's much more than washing a few dishes, it's being able to work under pressure and having the skills to clean until even the Chefs sparkle. Your role in the kitchen will be to act as the backbone of the operation, providing crucial support to the team and helping to keep all stations ticking along nicely.

You will be helping chefs with prep work and will keep the kitchen clean and tidy, adhering to health and hygiene at all times.

Job Specification…

• Have experience of loading and unloading commercial washing machines.
• Experience of lifting and washing heavy pots.
• Experience of cleaning kitchen equipment.
• Be able to peel and chop at reasonable speed or willing to learn.
• Contribute to the cleanliness and high standard of the kitchen.

Personal Specification

• You will have worked in a kitchen environment before or have a passion to learn.
• Be consistent and reliable.
• Be clean and well presentable.
• Enjoy working as a team in a fast paced environment.
• Unsociable hours, must be able to get to and from work.

We are looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join our team and help with the day-to-day operations of our kitchen. The successful candidate will be responsible for food preparation, dishwashing, cleaning, and other tasks as assigned. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and cooking, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and have excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Assist cooks in the preparation of meals.
• Follow recipes and instructions from the head cook.
• Wash dishes and other kitchen equipment.
• Restock kitchen supplies and ingredients.
• Ensure all food safety regulations are followed.
