The role

Develop wide portfolio of existing brands internally and externally, creating brand identities, product design and digital design, to guidelines and specification, making relevant changes as per customer or legislative changes.

Create and develop brands from scratch, working closely with the sales and marketing team to develop products in line with consumer demand from concept through to brand development and finally the finished project. The elements of design will cover full brand identity for FMCG products, including labelling and packaging, marketing and social assets.

· Design and develop graphics, illustrations, branding and logos, labelling and packaging for new and existing brands.

· Design and oversee design projects from concept to brand development, implementing a seamless creative process, right through to project completion.

· Develop brand identity for FMCG products, take briefs and create and deliver designs to the highest standards.

· Using strong problem-solving skills, you’ll challenge current processes and implement new processes for the smooth output of the design studio.

· Abide by compliance with packaging and labelling laws, to ensure anything leaving your department meets the required standards for CLP.

· Create pre-press print ready files for printers (bleeds, print-free areas, trapping, overprint and spot colours).

· Create label proofs and request samples (wet proofs) for approval for clients and key internal stakeholders.

· Manage client and internal proofing of artwork process.

· Any other adhoc duties as required.

Special Requirements

· 1+ year experience in brand, labelling and packing would be great but not essential

· Illustrative designer with experience in vector-based illustration

· Advanced knowledge and competent user of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign & XD)

· Knowledge of print production (set print ready files)

· Highly creative and passionate about design

· Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills

· Ability to work accurately under pressure in a fast-paced environment

· Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

· Exceptional dynamic and creative flair to produce best in class designs

· Knowledge of CLP (Classification of Labelling & Packing) – not essential but desirable

· Must have a flexible approach to working hours to fulfil our customer needs

Salary: £23,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
