Job Description

We have a current opportunity with a public sector organisation for a IT Helpdesk Support Officer on a contract basis. The position will be based in Glasgow.

The role:

  • Management of the following: Service Desk Management tool, Desktop & Device Management tool, patch Management, AV Technologies, Active Directory, Office 365, Remote desktop services and Azure.
  • Support of installed applications (Windows, Office, Sage Payroll etc), assisting in diagnosing software faults for core operational systems and customer portal.
  • Procurement, setup and management of IT infrastructure hardware and devices on-premise (servers, switches, PCs, printers) and mobile working devices (laptops and tablets).
  • Management and contract of static/mobile telephony and connectivity including VOIP phone system, SIP trunks, fixed line (broadband), smartphones, CCTV, wireless access points and MDM software.
  • Security of IT infrastructure including firewalls, antivirus, patching and network monitoring.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 1st/2nd line support experience
  • Active Directory experience

Details:

  • 6 month contract Outside IR35
  • Daily Rate is Negotiable
  • Glasgow based
  • Hybrid working 2 days home /3 days office per week however if a candidate is willing to come in 5 days this would be even better
  • The right to work in the UK - no sponsorship can be provided
